Gabriel Alonso joins Talengo in 2022 as a Partner to support the growth and consolidation of the firm in Mexico, both in the financial services practice and in other sectors.

Gabriel has developed his professional experience of more than 25 years in the corporate banking, private banking, asset management and executive search businesses, and has lived in Mexico, England and Spain. In 1993 he began his professional career as a corporate banker at Citibank Mexico. Later, after finishing his MBA studies in England in 1999, he worked six years in Madrid in private banking at Citibank and then in asset management with Afina-Pentor (JV with Commerzbank).

In 2005, Gabriel returned to Mexico venturing into the executive search market, where he worked as a Partner in the financial services practice for two renowned international executive search firms before joining Talengo. Gabriel has combined business development with the execution of search processes and talent consulting projects. Gabriel has specialized in the search for general management positions as well as a wide spectrum of management positions in both functional and technical areas. Additionally, he has led search projects for real estate, retail, consumer and services companies.

Gabriel holds a degree in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana (UP), a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and an MBA from Warwick Business School in England. Gabriel has participated for 10 years as a Member of the Council of the Montefalco and El Peñón Foundation, established to support families with limited resources in the State of Morelos. Gabriel is fluent in Spanish and English.
